There’s a surreal beauty in imperfection and flaws that can’t be seen with a closed heart. It requires openness, acceptance and a willingness to embrace the flawed.

Everything must be perfect — that’s the motto of today’s social media age where views, likes and clicks are more important than real admiration, praise and authenticity. The entire generation is ingrained with the mentality that their appearances, clothes, locations, and activities must align with the tagline of perfection. Each like hits dopamine.

The problem arises when it’s become a sole goal where imperfection is discarded like a curse and fake beauty is admired. Each year billion of dollars are spent so one can look perfect in all aspects from face, hair, body, and so on. Entrepreneurs are cashing out from the insecurities of people who want to mix up in the crowd and follow the influencers.

What’s wrong with the approach?

Perfection is an illusion. We should remind ourselves that there’s a surreal beauty in imperfection that can’t be seen with a close heart. Even nature isn’t perfect and there are countless imperfections. However, these don’t dim the glow and charm of the blue planet, but offers a great refuge in the lifeless universe.
