Creative Dreamers: 5 unheard examples who changed the world

When thinking about the great innovators of the 21st century, the names that come to our minds are— Elon Musk! Steve Jobs! Bill Gates! Why not? They are the game-changers, no doubt. However, the post aims to go beyond them and tell you those game-changers remain unheard and obscured from public domain.

The following names are no less than the others. Their innovations are playing a very indispensable role in creating a dent in our lives. Without them, we can’t imagine many things. Let’s have a look at them one by one.

1. Phil Knight

If you haven’t heard this name, you would probably be aware of the brand with a swoosh logo. Yes, I am talking about a famous running shoe brand. Indeed, Nike was the company that made athletic shoes and apparel famous for commoners. It started the trend of wearing sports shoes.

Phil Knight was a dreamer and introvert who dared to dream the crazy idea of importing Japanese shoes to America in 1962. Despite hurdles, he started a company called Blue Ribbons sport, which later become Nike with its famous swoosh logo. His influence on the Sports world is immense without ever being an International sports person. He made athletic shoes and apparel trends globally with his company.

2. Cyrus S. Poonawalla

Vaccines are an indispensable part of our lives. This fact has solidified after Covid-19 pandemic when they come as a saviour against the scourge of the virus. Serum Institute of India is the world's largest manufacturer of Vaccines and it has played a very important role in supplying vaccines to the poorest regions of the world at a cheap cost. Serum produces over 1.5 billion doses annually of a range of vaccines, including for measles, polio and flu.

Cyrus S. Poonawalla made it possible to produce vaccines at a mass level for the booming human population on Earth. His company ‘Serum Institute of India’ is the world's largest Vaccine supplier and also played important role in exporting covid-19 vaccine around the world, especially in poor African countries.

3. Larry Page

First came calculating devices, then developed computers. Many computers created a network together when connecting them with each other. Soon networks began to connect to each other that led to the formation of a giant global network called the Internet (International Network).

Data grew manifold times each day so it became impossible for humans to look for relevant things very easily. Then came Search Engines to aid Humans. And finally came Google — a more advanced, sophisticated, state-of-the-art engine to change the world once again.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google in 1997 which revolutionised our world completely and made Google our most dependent buddy.

4. Jack Ma

Alibaba Group is a giant firm with many verticals including business-to-business Alibaba.com and the shopping site Taobao.com. Today it is famous in the world to supply cheap products in bulk. A lot of people use Alibaba to carry out their drop shipping business.

Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.

Jack Ma was a school teacher who had big dreams. He wanted to do something with the Internet in China. He saw this opportunity and returned from America to start e-commerce site named Alibaba.com. His grit and hard work paid off and Alibaba group became one of the biggest corporation of China with many veriticals from e-commerce to Media & Entertainment.

5. Reed Hastings

Netflix changed the way how we consumed entertainment. From the times of communal entertainment with TV to the personal and customized, we have come so far. OTT is the present truth and it will only be getting bigger in the future. Netflix is one of the top OTT platforms and game-changer which is keeping itself innovative to be in the game.

Stone Age. Bronze Age. Iron Age. We define entire epics of humanity by the technology they use.

Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph began Netflix as a company providing DVDs for rent. Adopting the time, the company embraced OTT (Over-The-Top) and became the top entertainment provider on OTT.
